Pre-concert discussion for McGegan’s Dvořák begins 1 hour before curtain
Classical concerts never sound better than at the Ambassador Auditorium. Join newly appointed Principal Guest Conductor Nicholas McGegan as he explores Dvorák’s marvelous Sixth Symphony. Most musicians rate it as an even greater work than the “New World,” with ravishing melodies, a vivacious dance, and a soundscape of remarkable beauty and subtlety. Umi Garrett, the youngest winner of the Chopin International Piano Competition, and recent guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, is sure to impress fans of classical concerts.
“[McGegan] did some wonderful things… overall, the freshest live performance I’ve heard of [Mahler] in some time.”
