Join us as we celebrate Marvin Hamlisch and Edith Roberts at a star-studded benefit concert
Marvin Hamlisch, the late Principal Pops Conductor and composer of A Chorus Line & “The Way We Were,” asked a dazzling line-up of extraordinary talent to perform at this benefit just weeks prior to his passing. Marvin Hamlisch propelled the Pasadena POPS into a new and successful era, guided by his contributions to the Great American Songbook carrying on the legacies of Richard Rodgers and George Gershwin. He was a giant in American music and a true national treasure.
Edith Roberts was one of our most beloved and cherished supporters. Her passionate commitment to the Pasadena Symphony has left all of us a rich and enduring legacy.
On August 6th, Pasadena POPS lost its principal conductor and dear friend. This benefit event, that he planned with so much joy, now becomes the time to remember him and ‘the way we were.’
